The hard middle. Five of Pentacles is the cold stretch, walking past the lit window of the Chapel of the Reclaimed. Page of Swords is the discipline that holds you up: sharp eyes, ready blade, feet still, watching the horizon for the truth before it arrives. Seven of Wands is the defense, six attackers and one staff and one outcrop. The high ground is the only ground worth holding.

The crisis arc, but read in this direction it shows the gift inside the disaster. Page of Cups: a tender unexpected offering, a koi swimming in a chrome canteen you didn't know was there. Ten of Wands: too much weight, half of those staves not even yours to carry. The Tower closes the chapter, collapse, but a collapse that had to happen, because the foundation was off.

Read in reverse chronological order, which is the secret of the spread. Nine of Pentacles first: earned independence, the garden grown from salvage, what you'll have. Eight of Pentacles next: the dedicated craft that gets you there. The Fool last: the leap that starts it all. The journey ends with the next beginning.
